Tanning...?

I have pretty pale skin, and have tanned before - some questions I have are though:

1.have you tanned and what were it's affects on you?

2.if you were pale, did you get tan or just burn?

3.any recommendations for lotions?

Serious responses only
Tanning...?
well if you are fair you should take your time working your way up to the full time. the girls at the tanning salon should suggest a lotion for a base tan and you should only lay in the bed the first few times for no more than 7min. after a couple of days at 7 if you think you can go to 10....add a couple of minutes every session until you are able to tan the full time. also after you have reached 12 min or so change you lotion to an advanced one...good luck and if you feel tingly get off...that is what a tanning bed burn feels like

only go to a tanning bed if you want to get melanoma at a very young age! get the tanning lotion or do mystic tan.
Reply:i wish am pale skin like you.
Reply:Do the mistic tan, it's better for you!
Reply:don't do it. i'm like casper natually, so i have tanned a good bit. i now have scaly patches and lots of freckles. go for a spray tan and save your beautiful skin. in the long run, a tan doesn't matter.
Reply:You could try using a sunlass tanner lotion but be carful on what you choose, because some will make you look orange. If you get burned try using a heavier spf.
Reply:Yes, I am very pale. I can only tan from the beds, I can get darker from the sun. They will start you at about 5 minutes. If you do burn, it isn't the same as buring in the sun. You get red and itchy and warm and it goes away in a day. Any lotion they have to start is fine. I don't like any tingle factors though. I know it can be bad for you, but this time of year, I need it to perk me up. It is so grey and depressing here in fall.
Reply:Here are some taning info which would help you:
