I would use a bath and body works gradual tanner...I have the same problem as you...lol! I recently did a report on tanning beds and im glad you chose not to go to one...(im also the same age as you...so i know how embaressing it is to go to school with orange skin...trust me on this...lol) well, I use their gradual tanner from their "Breathe" line. It doesn't tan very much the first few times you use it, but if you use it every day you'll see a change! And as a plus, it doesn't turn your skin bright orange! =D

ciao for now,

You really need to take care of your skin now while you are young. You should be wearing sunscreen all the time and stay away from tanning beds.

The spray on tans range in price, you will need to call around in your area and get quotes.

If you are using self tanner you need to make sure you exfoliating before you put it on.
Reply:Why do you have to be tan in the winter, its normal not to be tan. Plus you are 14 you should be worried about tanning.
Reply:You're 14!!!!! Don't worry about it!!!!! Believe it or not... not all guys like tan girls.
Reply:i'm 16 and i want to be really tan... i use olay touch of sun. everything else i've used makes me REALLY blotchy and orange. but this stuff works.
Reply:tanning expert here. As for spray tans i would reccommend the mystic tan. It is polarized to stick only to your skin and doesn't look orange. they run about $25 to $30 per session and last a week. if you do try something else and get spotty a little lemon juice should take it right out. . As for tanning beds Being that young for you to tan in a tanning bed your mom will have to sign a consent form. Being of fair skin you never want to start at more than 5 minutes. less if the bed is high power. I would reccommend covering you face everyother time if not every time as well and never use tingle lotions. Other than that if you don't go to often youre probably safe--if you can convince your mom. another idea is to get a base of color in a tanning bed and keep it up with the lotion or spray tan. That should only take about 10 tanning bed sessions
Reply:Is it really necessary to have a fake orange tan? If you like that look then sure try the spray tan bit but I agree with your mother that you should avoid the tanning bed. As someone else pointed out it is imperative that you protect your skin now and tanning beds are not the way to go. It is summer time now how about putting on some spf30 and sitting outside for a bit for some natural sun/color. I wouldn't worry too much about the fall and winter no one really cares.
Reply:do not go to a tanning bed it is not good for anyone try to find another brand of self tanner lotion or spray on tan that works for u
Reply:Well, tanning in a tanning bed isn't very good for you anyway.

Moreover, you should respect your mother's wishes.

I'm 14 (very soon to be 15), and I have been in a tanning bed. But if you aren't careful, they can sunburn you just as easily (sometimes even quicker) than the sun itself.

So really, I think the natural sun is much better for you than a bed. =)
Reply:I lovew spray-on because they are safer and better for you than tanning beds. In the months where people aren't normally tan though, be careful not to make yourself look too tan, or you'll look fake. It depends on where you go and if you become a member there, but I pay around $50 for mine as a non-member of my place. The prices range from like $20-130 at various places. I also reccomend using tanning sunblock and laying out. It helps make you tan, but you're still protected from cancer and sunburn!
Reply:I don't see anyone answering your question

BUT I will try

You can sun Tan anytime,, use a low # spf and strictly time you self . a burn is devastating.

If you push the amount you can take you may have to start all over after you peal.

You and your mom just might enjoy attending a CO resort??

The fellow members will be happy to keep time and recommend a swim time to cool off.
