Tanning bed?

so, i have decided that i would like to start using a tanning bed... i have not tanned since about august and my skin is pretty pale now. i have never used a bed before, and i was wondering: About how long should i tan for if i am just beginning to?
Tanning bed?
The first time no longer than four minutes. .....
Tanning bed?
try 12 minutes, then after you get used to it try 30.

12 minutes is only about 20-30 bucks.
Reply:dont do tanning beds

you get skin cancer
Reply:Don't use a bed at all!!
Reply:Tans make you look gross and unnatural, and it is so bad for you skin.

I mean you are frying your skin in a freaking lean mean grilling machine. D:%26lt;
Reply:well i have red hair which means i burn really easy..so the first time i used a tanning bed i went 4 min i believe
Reply:about maybe 10 to 15 minutes and it doesnt cost a bunch so just a few minutes
Reply:No you might get skin cancer.
Reply:Stay out of the tanning bed. Don't people ever read anything about how damaging to the skin ultra violet rays can be. Take it from an old timer who, when young thought it was cool to have the deep, dark, tan. I have had 5 skin cancers removed from my face, several from my arms, and have scars all over my back. Believe me you will live to regret it!
Reply:You should ask the people at the tanning salon.

Generally you should start out at only 4 to 5 min. three times a week, then gradually add more time. Once you achieve the tan that you want I would suggest that you cut down to only 1 session every week or two.

Even when you are tan you can still get a sunburn from the sun. Also do not layout at the same time as you tan in a bed because it does increase the damage to your skin.

Using a tanning bed still gives you damage to your skin so try not to overdo it. You don't want to look old before your time or get skin cancer.
Reply:dont use a tanning bed ! all that concentrated UV light is a major cause of skin cancer ! [ and premature wrinkles arent exactly wanted either] they now have great lotions and spray tans that actually DONT makeyou look orange. and they dont harm your skin. try jergens natural glow..
Reply:using artificial tanning with machines or other things like that instead off to try the natural way i think that you expose your body in dangers and is like put your self inside of the microwave to get burn.
Reply:ok i lay in the tanning bed..and don't you hate when people put their opinion instead of just answering the simple question you askedd...or instead of just not answering at all :) gosh..but i started out at 10 minutes...it might burn you a little but after the first one or two times you won't burn again usually..and now i lay 20 minutes..use tanning lotion ..i use sugar shack..
Reply:Well, you should ask the people at the salon how long you should lay based on your skin tone. Most likely they will start you off at half the time. If the next day you are not red you can increase it by a minute or two until you reach the full time. Be sure to also buy some good lotion from the salon. The lotion really does make a difference when you use a tanning bed. Also use lots of regular lotion because well moisturized skins helps you tan faster and keep it longer.

Happy Tanning!
