Tanning question? how long will it take?

well i go back to school on tuesday and its supposed to be hot tomorrow...so i want to lay out and get a tan but i want to ask a few questions first! :)

first i would like to know if i wear sunscreen will it take longer to tan or stop from tanning me?

also how long does it take to get a proper tan (i want mostly on my arms)

if i am swimming with a normal bikini will the sun still be on me and tanning me?

last one! if i tan tomorrow and i do get slihtly tanned (hopefully!) will i need to continue tanning for the next week or something to maintain that tan?

please help with any of these question! it would be great if you could :D

thanks alot!

i would get a product for tanning..like dark tan oil or lotion..

also one of the best ways to get naturaly tan is to lay in your pool(naked or with a suit) on one of those infaltable laying down mats. the sun will bounce of the water around you and you will be tan..i did that once(turned over for my back) and it was a beautiful tan.

last it all depends on the outcome of the first tan because yes the tan will fade with time so if you like that color 1-2 times a week should keep it up..or keep going till you find a shade you like..hope this helps!!

To answer your quest/ let me tell you the difference in the intensity and damage of the sun rays.

uv- b is for burning%26gt; uv- a= ageing

if you chose to apply a sunscreen the numbers are for the minutes of coverage before it disspear and you have to apply it again.

if you swim the sun still there and is going to burn you the same way.

Tanning simply is burning your skin%26gt; the melanin (wich is the protein that determine color) raise to protect the skin in the sun. and after few days that skin dries out then you peel to give space to the new skin under ( your skin grows in layers)

one of the most important things is after been in the sun you have to use a moiteriser lotion or the best "aloe vera gel"

only because is 2 products that molecules penetrate into the skin the best %26gt;water is one and aloe vera .

that's why if you check up all the lotions for body and face the first product you read in is water (is used as a carrier).

I hope this answer your questions.

my suggestion: have spray tan handy or go to the tanning salon (less damage)in your skin.
