About tanning beds.(repost for more opinions from people) Need advice Please read and answer if you can!?

I visit a tanning salon and use the beds every two or three days and sometimes tan upto 4 times a week on the beds. I have been doing this for awhile now as I tan all year long. I am almost 38 years old. While dropping off my daughter and some of her friends at high school and they commented on how I am starting to look more mature and older than I really am saying I look more in my early 40s because of my bumpy like skin and face texture . I was wondering if I may have some premature aging from tanning and would be happy to get some advice. Here is my photo, do you think I look more my age, or do the girls have a point and I do look older? Thank you for reading and your comments. tanning will RUIN your skin.

if you dont already, you will get freckles and highly damaged looking skin.

let alone,cancer.

my best friends mom had skin cancer on her arm from tanning, and she still goes and just covers it up.

that is called ADDICTION.

if you are not informed about tanning then you really shouldnt tan in the first place.

why risk your skin and health for being tan?

its really not worth it.

you should try mystic tans or body lotions instead of harmful UV rays.

ur skin looks very damaged and yes they affect your skin and you can get skin cancer
Reply:i told you girl, didnt you read my email??? dont worry about how you look now. the damage wont show up for a couple years, just STOP. jk.
Reply:my friend is 46 and has always sunbathed naturally and on sunbeds, she looks 66
Reply:Tanning beds are horrible for your health. They damage your skin, can lead to cancer-- all kinds of things. You don't want to be the leather faced parking lot lizard!!! Invest in some age renewal products to stop damage, and rejuvenate skin. Stick with spray tans. You can get them in drugstores, or have them professionally done. But don't forget that pale, healthily sun kissed skin is pretty fashionable these days! look at Nicole Kidman, Alexis Bledel, and the like. Think of old glamorous 40s stars. You never saw any of them looking fried!!! Good luck!
Reply:First of all, you look great.

But, yes I can see the damage from the rays. Tanning makes your skin tougher and very dry. They make all kinds of lotions that help tanners though. Most of them have hemp in them. They help alot but they can be expensive. The lotions will slow down the damage and make the current damage look better but they wont reduce the risks you are getting by tanning, especially since you're doing it year round.

I ran a tanning salon for about a year and tanned daily. I didn't notice some of the effects until I stopped tanning. I've got several freckles and even moles that I didn't have before. My best advice is to start spray tanning. I know alot of people turn orange or get very bad results but there are many updated spray tanning systems that work great. If you still wish to tan like you are doing now, I'd highly recommend you buy some tanning moisturizer that has anti aging and hemp in it.

But, like I said, you still look great. Don't worry about that.
Reply:Based on your picture alone, I can't really tell if there is skin damage, because the picture is kind of grainy itself. I do have a opinion about tanning beds. I have some friends, family, and acquaintances who visit the tanning bed so much, they ended up looking a lot older. I used to tan all the time, but got out of it after I saw what it was doing to other girls my age. Some people blame the special lotion itself causes damage because they make the skin tan faster. I think going there more then 4 times a week @ perhaps 20 minutes a day or longer is too much. I could send you some pictures of a girl that got addicted to tanning beds, you can see major difference in her skin. Just email me.
Reply:you dont look that old in that picture but DO NOT tan any longer!! It is so bad for your health. you are many many times more likely to get skin cancer now. Just use fake tan and see a doctor about skin cancer.
Reply:I don't know if I'd say you look older, really, but your skin doens't look healthy. Tanning can dry your skin out, cause premature aging (leather handbag look), not to mention the whole cancer thing. I'd nix the tanning asap for your own good.
