Self tan lotion tips? And bath and body works' "Breathe calm 24/7 radiant gradual tanning body lotion"?

How's the best way for you to apply tanning lotion without it getting all streaky and orange?

And has anyone ever used Bath and Body Works' "Breathe calm 24/7 radiant gradual tanning body lotion"? That's the one I have, but I haven't used it yet. What results did you get?

And, if they were bad, what tanning lotion do you reccomend?

What I have found that works great is mixing the self tanning lotion with my regular lotion and then appling it to my skin. This keeps the self tanner from streaking and makes applying it easier. It also helps to keep your skin moisturized.

I personally use Mary Kay self tanner and body lotion. I like the results I receive from these products. But everyone has their favorites and I have not tried very many self tanners.

As far as the tan not turning orange, you just have to find a good product. Most of the self tanners out there today have gotten past the orange tan look. That was a big problem with self tanners years ago.

Good luck with your tan. At least a tan in a bottle will keep you skin looking younger years from now. Those untraviolet rays can really age your skin.

It is important to use a good exfollient before you "tan".

Reply:The best self tanner I have used is Loreal sublime. Only downfall is if you are using it on entire body that it is almost impossible to get your hands to match with even color. Sephora also sells a great spray on self tanner called Glow Fusion. Expensive, but well worth it!
Reply:I haven't tried B and B works stuff but Jergens Natural Glow works really well! Don't use too much at one time and keep rubbing it in for a long time all over too avoid streaks.
Reply:I dont trust self tanners. I have never used that so I dont have any advise on that. I would go with something that builds a tan gradually instead of right away, I know Jergens and Neutrogena have products like that. I also enjoy Cliniques loose powder bronzer. There is also a product at some tanning salons called spray me tan. It is compared to the mystic tanning systems. You spray it on and rub it in really well with the glove it comes with. The kit has about 5 uses in it and it cost $35 at my tanning salon.
Reply:The one I have had the best luck with is Toma's at Sally's Beauty Supply. It's about 12 dollars a bottle, but worth it. It is a cocoa brown color, so you can see where you apply it and has never turned me orange, not even on my feet. It is more of sheer color so you can gradually make it darker if the first application isn't as dark as you want. Plus, the smell isn't overwhelming. It's always best to exfoliate first. Use gloves and apply regular lotion to your knees, ankles and elbows after, to avoid getting it too dark in those areas. Also, it's best to do it at night, right before you go to bed. Good luck!
Reply:L'Oreal Sublime Bronze is definetly amazing! It's non-streacky, adn if you exfoliate well, it's EXACTLY like a real tan. Make sure to get the light version first because the deep will make you orange!
