Tanning??????????

I go out in the sun for like an hour or 2 everyday.I still don't get a tan!!I'm going camping from Sat.-Tues.How can I get a good tan while I'm there, and keep it??I don't tan easily though
Tanning??????????
you could get some tanning oil. i think it reflects more light onto your skin so you tan faster. tanning is really bad for your skin though, so try not to do it too often. The problem is that spray-on tans (I've tried mystic tan at a salon and stuff at home) tend to look cheap and trashy.
Tanning??????????
have you tried a spray on tan?
Reply:umm lay out get tanning oil you know
Reply:Use a low spf sunscreen, no more than 30
Reply:try spray tans. most beauty salons have them now, and if done professionally by someone at the salon, they turn out good. also you dont have to worry about skin cancer!
Reply:what i recomend doing is using an oil based sunscreen with a low spf

somthing that says

dark tanning lotion

you may think those dont work but they really do and you dont burn

also what you could do is use baby oil

another way you could tan maybe is putting a fake tanner

or somthing

that will lower your risks of skin cancer
Reply:you're only outside for 1 or 2 hours everyday? you should at least go out more often. when you go out camping, just try sunbathing next to a lake and enjoy the scenery while you're at it. there are tanning creams out there that you could try. some work better than others...go to a tanning salon and buy some tanning cream. the more expensive it is, the better it works, but for me the basic kind works fine. good luck!
Reply:you need to build a base tan first. When you go out in the sun, use a tanning oil or lotion with an SPF in it and go out for shorter times, do this several times and you will build a base tan. After you build a base tan you will tan easier. The reason you probably dont tan well by staying out 2 hours a day is cuz you are just burning your skin........ not tanning.

GOod luck and keep in mind the dangers of skin cancer please, always use SPF 15 at the least. You will still tan if your products have an SPF.
Reply:Check out your local store- they have tan accelerators with a sun block- and they work because I use them. I use Australian Gold #4. There are lotions out now that enhance your tan.
Reply:the only way i have ever gotten a tan is to go in a tanning bed . i start at about 7 minutes for about a week then gradually add 2 minutes every other time. the most i can go is about 15 minutes or i fry. seriously, i tried out in the sun and i just don't tan i burn.鈽?br>Reply:Don't do a spray on tan....it will leave you orange no matter what anyone says.

You're going to have to spend a lot of time outside (keep doing the 2 hours a day thing) in order for you to get a tan and it will take a while. You definitely want to use some sort of sun protection even if it only has 4 SPF.

I hate saying this but you might want to try a tanning bed. I have only tanned in a tanning bed. If you do go that route it will take about a week to start really seeing results. Always get the best bed they offer and work your way up to the highest time limit. Once I got my base tan I only went maybe once a week and was able to tan in the sun much easier. Plus some acne issues I had been having went away. Just don't over do it because you don't want to look like a leather handbag when your older and you don't want to look like you're trying to change your ethnicity.
