I am going to start tanning for prom and I have never used the tanning beds before. My prom is May 6th. I tan fairly easy. I need to know how to get the best tan. And yes, I know it causes skin cancer but it's not like I can go stand outside and get a tan. And I don't have the spray on kind available close to where I live.
Helpful hints for tanning?
Use a good lotion--I like Bronze Bondage or the California Tan lotions. Moisturize often--before and after tanning, after showering, and whenever your skin feels dry. Start out tanning slow, increase 2 minutes every 2 times you tan. Tan every 48 hours, not everyday.
Have fun at prom! ;0)

Move to Arizona
Reply:don't
Reply:just do 10 minutes at first then go higher after that
Reply:Get a self tanning oustrizer- it'll slightly tan your skin each day of use (i'd say about 1-2 weeks and your at a faily nice tan) But that's my experience with Jerkins, so i'd reccommend that.
Tanning beds aren't too safe, and neither is sun exposure, there are self tanners you can use (like spray on) that don't look bad (some better than tanning beds) So get a few diffrent ones and try them out
(DON'T do any the day before or the day of Prom unless your SURE it works, otherwise you could end up looking like an umpa-lumpa on Prom day =D ) Bath and Body works has a great spray on skin tan line- if you REALLY want a tan and still can't find anything order some off the internet, or go out of town for a day.
Good Luck
Reply:u DO NOT want to get cancer from tanning beds!!!
What u should do is not tan at all, even if prom is coming up. U should make do with your own skin color.
Bottom line: Tanning beds need u to pay for each job, it's like paying ur way toward cancer
