Ok i want to get really really tan before school starts agian so i have about 3 weeks, any tips so i can get a deeper tan??? I have Been Tanning Everyday for a week and and im not seeing a big diffrence!
Tanning Tips?
Well u should go to a spa or a tanning place there the best trust me i am the same way as u and i never tan unless i go to a spa or a tanning place.
hey read this info underneath ther are dangers to tanning and being in the sun.
-What are the dangers of tanning?
While skin cancer has been associated with sunburn, even moderate tanning may also produce the same effect. UV radiation from the sun, tanning beds, or sun lamps may cause skin cancer and can have a damaging effect on the immune system. It can also cause premature aging of the skin, giving it a wrinkled, leathery appearance.
-Is sun good for your health?
People have associated a suntan with good health and vitality. Vitamin D is necessary, but just a small amount of sunlight is needed for the body to manufacture it. It does not require a suntan!
-Are people actually being harmed by sunlight?
Yes. The number of skin cancers has been rising over the years due to increasing exposure to UV radiation from the sun, tanning beds, and sun lamps. More than 1.3 million new skin cancer cases are likely to be diagnosed in the U.S. this year.
-Are the types of skin cancer caused by the sun, tanning beds, and sun lamps easily curable?
Not necessarily. Melanoma, with a suspected link to UVA exposure, is fatal if not detected early. The number of cases of melanoma is rising in the United States with an estimated 47,700 new cases and 7,700 deaths anticipated this year.
-Does the skin of young people show these harmful effects?
Skin aging and cancer are delayed effects that show up many years after the exposure. Unfortunately, since the damage is not immediately visible, young people are often unaware of the dangers of tanning. It is estimated that cases of skin cancer will continue to increase as people who are tanning in their teens and twenties reach middle age.
-Why can some people tan for many years and still not show damage?
People who tan are greatly increasing their risk of developing skin cancer. This is especially true if tanning occurs over a period of years because damage to the skin accumulates. Premature aging of the skin (wrinkles) will occur in everyone who is repeatedly exposed to the sun over a long time. Damage may be less apparent and take longer to show up in people with darker skin.

Tanning Tips?
cancer.
Reply:tanning gives u skin cancer
Reply:Are you using a tanning accelerator? There are tanning lotions you can usually buy at the tanning salon, they are all different levels...they are pretty expensive but they DO work!
Reply:Stay outside for the whole three weeks. That should bake you. If not, wrap yourself in foil
Reply:You should only tan 2-3 times a week at most. 15 min. max.
Reply:The key to a good tan is a good lotion, a professional tanning lotion. I like to get one with a bronzer in it because you can see a difference sooner.
Reply:Use a tanning lotion .
Reply:I'm assuming you are talking about indoor tanning - If so, What kind of lotion are you using?? Try something with a bronzer (not accellerator) and you should see a difference in a fairly short period of time. I personally like a lotion called Alias that has 5 bronzers in it. Alot of the Swedish Beauty products are pretty good too. If you are talking about tanning outside, make sure you use a sunscreen - they make them with bronzers too. I use Hawaiian Tropic (its an orange gel) that works pretty good.
Reply:stop! its really damaging ur skin!
Reply:umm... try lotions with bronzers in it! That is what my sister and mom use and they are pretty dark! How long do you lay! And dont fry your skin by staying to long it will not look good! (you may blister)
Best of luck with the tan
Reply:You should use dark tanning oil when you lay out .. also, apply coco butter on your body daily to reserve your tan longer ! Best of luck(:
Reply:WELL BEFORE YOU START TANNING RUB WATER ONTO YOUR WHOLE BODY AND DONT RUB IT OFF U SHOULD GET A TAN AND DONT LISTEN TO THE CANCER DUDE
Reply:Did you try tanning lotions when you tan? Also there are regular lotions that you put on everyday that gradually tan you. Also ones for your face
Reply:OMG I hope you get great help, I almost got a tan today but I have no idea how they work! I entered the room then I was like nevermind!
Reply:Okay, I tan easily- but my friends don't.
But, I told them this suggestion and now they have a beautiful tan.
If you're using a high SPF of sun block, use a lower.
Sure- it's protecting you from the sun, but still. A tan looks great haha!:)
And make sure you DONT worry about getting sun burnt,
cause before you know it- that sun burn will be a tan!
you could go to a tanning salon..
but sometimes they dont work- and can do serious damage to your body.
Hope i helped a bit...
any furthur questions,
ask whenever:)
Reply:I once colored my entire body with a brown magic marker. It was the most natural looking tan I've ever had.
Reply:Do a couple of the dark spray tans
Reply:If you have three weeks, use Jergens Natural Glow. It's safer than tanning outside, and saves a lot of time. Pick the formula for the skin tone one darker than your natural one (for example, if you have a medium skin tone, use the one for tan skin), and then use it EVERY night mixed evenly with moisturizer. Then take a shower in the morning. You should be pretty dark in about a week.
Here are some tips: Make sure you rub it in well using circular motions, and instead of washing your hands after, use a baby wipe to wipe your palms and nail area to avoid wierd orange palms. If you skin starts to look dull, gently exfoliate with a loofah. Remember to scrub your knees, ankles, and elbows if they start to pick up extra color.
Good luck!
Reply:ok, what you need to do is start over. (if you're tanning in a tanning bed.) start back at about 7 min and work your way up. this really works. also use a sizzling bronzer!!!
