Need help about Tanning lotion!?

Here's the thing. I tan easily, and my arms and face are medium to dark (think Jenifer Lopez). But my legs are white!! I've been wearing jeans the whole year. But i'm going on vacation and my big concern is that I dont want to burn, because I wont be able to enjoy my vacation. So, should I use tanning lotions like Hawaiian tropic Dark Tanning lotion? What exactly are tanning lotions? Because I dont want lotion that has color in it (like Self-tanners). Is there something that just protects against burning, but allows me to tan naturally?

If you can find the Aussie Gold sun lotion with spf 15. It is amazing! I like the lotion not the oil, but it is hard to find. I tan very easily but any time I put any sunscreen on, even spf 4, I don't tan. This Aussie Gold stuff is the only thing I have found that lets me tan and have sun protection. If you can find it, it is great!

That aussie gold is really awesome. If you can't find it then try the Hawaiin Tropic protective tanning spf 8 or Banana Boat moisturizing tanning gel spf 8. Both prevent burn ( you have to reapply often ) and let you tan gradually. Good luck!
Reply:First of all, it all depends on where you are going and how long you're planning on staying out in the sun...and ...will you be swimming or just walking around....?

Hawaiin Tropic Dark Tanning Lotion will probably be okay for the part of you that is already tan, but for the legs, which sound like they are very white, I would suggest a tanning lotion with an SPF of at least 8 to start out with. You could probably go a little higher if you plan on staying in the sun all day as if you were laying out on a beach somewhere.

Whatever you chose to do, be careful of getting sunburn no matter how tan you are.

Your skin will burn no matter what color you are and/or how dark you are. Especially if you are going somewhere like Mexico, or anywhere in the tropics.

Have fun, don't get burned...better to be safe than sorry right?

Would it be possible to go to a tanning salon a couple of times maybe to at least put SOME color on your legs? That might be a good thing to do.
