Tanning Help?

I am 20 and live in Arizona. My skin is not very sensitive and I do not have freckles. I just don鈥檛 know the first thing about tanning correctly! What schedule for sun bathing do you recommend to get a nice tan? Times of day and how long? What sun lotions or oils should I use? What should I do to get a nice even tan? Can anyone help me?

Tanning is bad for you, but if you're going to, develop a base by laying out (preferably by the pool, so you can jump in when it gets hot!) for 10-15 minute snippets on the front and then on the back. Use any type of accelerator, preferably with a bronzer. Hawaiian Tropic makes good outdoor ones. If you don't get any color after that, increase the time by a few minutes. When you're on your back, hold your arms over your head so the underside gets tan too. On your stomach, lay your arms over your head (hopefully this is making sense) so the tops get color.
