TANNiNG BEDS ADViCE??

So im turning 13 soon and i want to go tannnig at a salon . I want to get a tan before school starts so i have around 5 weeks to go tanning.

How many times a week should i go and for the first few times how many minutes?

ANd is 5 weeks long enough to get a nice attractive tan???
TANNiNG BEDS ADViCE??
I'd go for 5 mins two days in a row, take the next day off, then maybe 7 mins. Make sure you moisture your skin really well after you're done. Yes, 5 weeks is long enough. And if the beds have new bulbs in them, you might burn (like I did) so ask the salon. Good luck
TANNiNG BEDS ADViCE??
You shouldn`t go to tanning beds, it risks your chances of getting skin cancer why not try self-tanner lotions instead?
Reply:i dont think you should go to the tanning beds! they are REALLY bad for you
Reply:it depends upon your skin tone, so the people that work there will help with that. and yes it is long enough time to get an attractive tan.
Reply:don't look like a baked potato! see the people who work there. DON'T look like them.
Reply:Why can't you just go out in the sun? It isn't good for you do go to the tanning salon. Laying out in the sun isn't even good for you, but it's still better than tanning beds.

You may want to rethink your decision.
Reply:Be careful when u go tanning, check to make sure the beds or stand up booths are kept clean and sanitary. I use to go but the I noticed a mole that was never there before, and it turned out to be active, i had to have it removed and was told not to go anymore, so just keep a watchful eye out.
Reply:tanning beds give you CANCER... dont use them ... if you want a tan go out during the summer put suntan lotion on and play and lay in the sun it also gives you cancer but it is better then beds

your 13 dont ruin your skin now

tanning also gives you wrinkles.. my friend is 18 and she has tons she has been tanning since she was 15 she is addicted to it and cant stop..also most places dont let you use tanning beds til you are 16 to 18
Reply:Everyones gonna tell you that tanning beds are so bad for you blah blah blahhh. Ya know what, dont listen to them. think of it this way, people die in car accidents everyday, but they still drive cars! I go to a tanning bed and you will see results each time you go there! Buy a tanning bed membership for a month, about 50 dollars, and you will be a beautifully tanned goddess in no time!
Reply:Stay away from them, that is the most damaging to your skin as you get older that will contribute to skin cancer. Try tan in a tube, better for you.
Reply:you could try getting an airbrush tan

I don't know if theyre good or not because I havent had one
Reply:Do not go on a tanning bed. I started going for special occasions not very offend, I'm only young and have had five pre-cancerous moles removed also you will age your skin and regret it when you are older. I recommend getting a spray tan like mystic, it look really natural and its what all the celebrities use. Also you could buy the Clarins self tan it works really well.
Reply:Your 13 and your going to a tanning bed? THATS INSANE! It lookas way better when you have a natual tan, and its more fun to hang out at like a beach instead of a little clautrophibic thing thats over you. There was a movie and these girls were in tanning begs and they melted and the girls got trapped and burned to death. HAVE FUN!
Reply:The sun and tanning beds are damaging and unhealthy. That said, I used to tan in tanning beds but don't anymore, for many reasons, one of them being not wanting skin cancer. I loved the results, but having beautiful pale skin in my old age is more important to me than having golden skin now that is diseased later. If I ever want color again, I'll probably try a gradual self-tanning lotion.
Reply:Well first, in many states it's illegal for anyone under the age of 14 to tan with or without parent permission, from about 14-18 (depends on state) you need parental permission, so most likely (if the tanning salon is responsible and law-abiding) they won't allow you to tan.

Second, you're sooo young and your skin is still developing, did you know that most of your skin damage occurs before you're 18! Frightening! Rather than ruin your chances for beautiful skin later on in life, this is the time to take extra special care of it so when you're older you can be happy with the healthy look and feel of your skin!

I'm not a hypocrit, when I was your age I loved looking tan, if you really really need to look tan, try a spray on tan (many tanning salons offer them), they are healthy and contrary to many experiences, most do not make you look orange (depending on the quality of the spray and you're after-spray care...ex. many people turn orange because they come in contact with water or sweat too soon and this causes the solution to oxidize on your skin). Use this with MODERATE sun exposure (wear an SPF) and you will get a healthy bronze glow in no time!

Listen, when you're 18, you can do whatever you want, but please take this advice, when you're older, you'll be happy you did!
