Tanning beds??
are you sure wherever it is you are tanning is sanitizing the beds in between tanners???? you could pick something up if not!
Tanning beds??
I guess you think skin cancer is a good thing?
Reply:when i first started tanning the same thing happened to me. i stopped tanning for like 6 months because i was afraid it was skin cancer..i went to the doctor for other problems and i mentioned this to her..this was like 3 years ago so i dont remember exactly what she said..but she said it was fine basically. of course she said tanning is bad for your skin, which we both already know, but she said the spots were normal and nothing to worry about. you'll be fine.
Reply:yeah its really bad to go to the tanning bed, try laying out for a while, and see if the spots go away
Reply:....i dont know how to say this positively. STOP!!!!you could be getting skin cancer!!! what you should really do is go to a dermatologist and get your back checked out. white spots could be nothing or something really serious, so the best thing to do is to go and find out for sure. im sure if you just wore sunscreen and then went outside or swimming or something, you'd get tan enough. you're probably already pretty tan anyway,so.....stop and go to a dermatologist and if theres anything at all wrong you should stop for good.
Reply:The blotches come from how you are laying in the bed. When you lie on your back, your skin streaches out. The skin over your shoulder blades is already thin. They skin MAY be burning, but more than likely it is from the position that you are in. The white blotches are the areas where your skin folds and isn't being exposed to the light. If you are really concerned, then go see your doctor. But I doubt you have anything to worry about. Just make sure you are not tanning two days back to back. You need to give your skin time to recover.
Reply:hi--I emphathize with you. However, do not listen for a single moment to those that would you have you believe that tanning beds, or the sun for that matter, is dangerous! You need to use common sense. What is your age? What type of diet do you have? Do you abuse tanning? In other words, what are you doing differently than before (when you did not have/notice any differences?)

Just remember this -- anything in moderation is o.k. It's when you try to overdo the tanning, that is when you are looking for problems. One's body does change over time, and at different times. Pay attention -- and do not be mislead!

A sun/tanning worshipper for many years!

Best--
