You have less melanin in your face and arms, as opposed to your chest, so you get less color there. The face is always one of the toughest places to get tan. A good tanning salon will have beds with extra lights near where your face will be, to try and even that out.

You could try using a tanning excellerator lotion on your face and arms, to try and even things out. I have a friend that worked in a salon, and her chest, around her collarbone would always be the darkest place on her. It was a few shades darker than the rest of her body, so it looked kind of weird. We thought that maybe putting a handtowel over your chest would help even things out. A towel will not block out all of the UV radiation, but it will stop some.

probably just the way your body is. or it could be that these places arent getting as much UV light.

However i suggest that you dont tan. skin cancer could develop. Im telling you, it's not good for you. Take care of yourself. Its okay not to be tan. People will like you just the same, tan or not.
Reply:Stop tanning. It is unnatural. You have fair skin deal with it. In the summer a natural tan can look flattering but in the winter most tanning Caucasian or fair skinned people look like "Umpa Lumpa's" any way. Hello Melanoma!
