Sun-in and tanning?

I already know how my hair reacts to sun in and all that, I was just wondering if you use sun in and you go tanning at a salon if the tanning beds will effect it at all. I know sun in works by heat, not by uv rays or anything, so I didn't think it would do anything, but I was hoping for personal experience.

I don't usually got tanning, in fact i never have. but I can be in the sun for hours and not get any color, my friend said a salon would probably work for me, and now she's really excited to go, so I can't say no. I know tanning isn't great for your skin, so you don't need to point that out, but I'm not going to make a habit out of it. all I want to know is how, if at all tanning salons effect sun-in.

thanks!
Sun-in and tanning?
Yes i am totally the same way, i can lay out in the sun for HOURS and only get burnt!!! Grrr...however a tanning bed WILL help you get a tan, make sure you buy one of the tanning lotions at the tanning salon (get one with bronzers it helps) and make sure you tell them that this is your first time ever going to a tanning bed, they will only let you tan for about 6 mins, which is more than enough, after about 2 sessions you can go to 8 mins, then 12 and maybe higher (depending on the pressure of the bed)*your tanning salon workers will be able to tell you about all of that and make sure you get a tour of the building to see ALL the beds!* Also Sun-In will work in a tanning bed, more than likely more than the sun, but make sure you use the lotions and wear the little funny goggles (you have to buy for like 2-4 bucks) I LOVE the tanning bed, my tanning salon has built in stereo that you can turn up as loud as you want! :) And the more advanced beds even have neater things like face lights, a button to 'mist' your body with cool water if you get too hot!
Sun-in and tanning?
Yes. There will be A LOT of heat in that tanning booth!!
Reply:Sun-in is probably the worst product you could ever put in your hair.
Reply:Please don't do it.... Sun in is a horrible product. I've seen people who have blistered scalps and orange roots from that stuff.

If your hair reacts naturally, just let it be.
Reply:Tanning beds can ruin your skin! If you want a tan that bad, then you should try Mystic Tanning. Look it up on google or something. Its like a shower thing, that sprays a tanning mist on you, and its not bad for your skin at all. And I hear the results are pretty good. But yes, I've used Sun-In hair color before to, and I would imagine it would turn your hair REALLY blonde, since there's so much heat in those tanning beds, and obviously Sun-In comes in when its in contact with heat..
