I tan more easily then they do so what should i put on before i go in? like sun screen or something? and do i put it all over my body, including my face? Also two weeks ago my fingers got a second degree burn, they are pretty much heald, but is it ok to expose them to the light?
Tanning..?
They usually have brozing sunscreen at the place for you to buy.. so get that, and also bring your own 5 or 15 spf just incase.
Tanning..?
I use baby oil. I personally love the tanning thing in fact when i die I wanted be buried in one.
Reply:Since it is your first time, only go for a max of 10 minutes because even though you tan easier than they do, you don't know how your skin will react. As for tanning lotion, you don't have to put anything on, a lot of people don't, but try a bronzing cream or just something with a mosturizer because your skin gets really dry. They should have samples at the tanning salon that you can try before buying a whole bottle.
After your first time, you will know what kind of lotion you would like/if you need any lotion at all. Make sure you apply lotion daily (i found cocoa butter is the best), it keeps your skin moist, and helps you tan faster and stay longer.
Also, your fingers should be fine. Put some aloe vera on them before going into the tanning bed...and if they start to burn or become tender, just cover them with a towel or stick your fingers out of the tanning bed.
Have fun lol!

Reply:I hope that you will love tanning indoors as much as I do!
Typically, SPF is not used while tanning indoors. However, if there are some areas of your body that are especially sensitive to the sun, then I might apply a LITTLE sunscreen to that area. Some ingredients in sunscreen can damage the acrylic (the part that you lay on) part of the tanning bed. So, if you have to use it, please be sparing. Baby oils and other outdoor tanning products should NEVER be used in a tanning bed. They damage the beds and can possibly have an adverse effect on your skin. Please don't use those products at the salon.
As far as your finger goes, I would give your doctor a call to be absolutely certain about how to protect it!
When you go to the salon, you will see that they offer many indoor tanning lotions for you to choose from. There are many different types and brands. Since this is your first time, I would buy a sample packet of either an accelerator or a dual bronzer. The associate at the salon will know what those are if you tell them. You will get about 80% more tan from your session if you use a lotion specially made for indoor tanning. Also, be sure to buy goggles. Tanning indoors without eye protection can cause severe and irreversible damage to your eyes.
Apply the lotion all over your body, including your face, put your goggles over your eyes and enjoy your tanning session. Each salon may have their own rules and regulations regarding the salon, so pay special attention to them. Their rules are meant to protect both you and the salon, and most importantly, make sure you get the most amazing tan.
Enjoy and wear the eyewear!
